How ready is your application for this job?

Clear findings. Prioritized guidance. No guesswork.

SYSTEM: APPLICATION READINESS

A Strong Resume Is Only Part of the Application

A resume may be readable by hiring systems and still be poorly aligned with a specific role. It may match the job description but leave important experience unclear to a recruiter.

Most applications are not limited by one issue. Readiness depends on how the pieces work together.

Docent evaluates these factors together so you can understand where the application is ready—and where focused changes may help.

SYSTEM: INTEGRATED ASSESSMENT

How Docent Evaluates Application Readiness

Docent evaluates your resume and the job description together across the factors that can affect application readiness.

Docent guides you through each stage of application readiness, helping you understand the findings before deciding what to change.

The assessment brings those findings into one explainable view—showing how the application performs across system readability, job alignment, scoring, and recruiter-relevant evidence.

SYSTEM: ASSESSMENT STAGES

Three Views of Application Readiness

Docent reviews the application through three connected stages. Each stage examines a different factor that can affect whether the application is understood, aligned, and supported by clear evidence.

PHASE 1

ATS Diagnostic

Checks whether the resume’s structure and formatting allow hiring systems to reliably read and interpret its information.

PHASE 2

Job Match

Compares the resume with the job description across five criteria: skills, experience, education, certifications, and job title. The results show where the application aligns with the role and where gaps may affect readiness.

PHASE 3

Recruiter Readiness

Examines how clearly the resume communicates experience through bullet construction, active voice, demonstrated results, and other recruiter-relevant evidence.

SYSTEM: STAGE REPORTS

What You See at Each Stage

Each stage produces its own report with findings, scores, and recommendations before Docent combines the results into the Applicant Readiness Report.

PHASE 1 REPORT

ATS Diagnostic

See how resume structure, section organization, formatting, and headings affect whether hiring systems can reliably read the document.

PHASE 2 REPORT

Job Match

Review scored match tables for hard skills, soft skills, experience, job title, certifications, and education, along with recommendations based on the identified gaps.

PHASE 3 REPORT

Recruiter Readiness

See findings for bullet construction, active voice, demonstrated results, overqualification, and contact information. Each bullet is analyzed, with recommendations tied to the issues identified.

SYSTEM: INTEGRATED REPORT

The Applicant Readiness Report

Docent combines the findings from all three stages into one explainable view of the application.

The report shows the overall Applicant Readiness Score, what is helping, what is limiting readiness, and which opportunities should be addressed first.
